The menu

A short menu.
No memberships, no add-on traps,
no upsell at the door.

Most people walk in for the same reason — something hurts, sleep has been bad, or the week was too long. Below is the entire menu. Walk-ins welcome until 10 PM. Calling ahead helps, especially for the couples room.

I

Full Body

Sixty minutes head-to-toe — soothing strokes through the back, neck, shoulders, glutes, legs, and arms. Medium pressure unless you say otherwise. Warm oil, crisp white sheets, hot tea after. The default for a reason.

For: the long week, the stiff neck, the bad chair at work.

II

Foot Massage

Sixty minutes in a heated recliner — hot towel, warm oil, targeted pressure through the arch, the calf, and the reflex points along the heel and ear. Most clients close their eyes inside the first ten minutes.

For: nurses, servers, parents — anyone who has been on their feet.

III

Shiatsu

Japanese pressure-point therapy through loose clothing. Slow, loaded body weight on specific points along the meridians. Asks more of the practitioner than oil massage does. Closer to assisted yoga than spa fluff.

For: chronic knots, athletes, people who lift things for a living.

IV

Couples Room

Two practitioners, one quiet room, side-by-side tables. Same hour, same warm towels, same cup of tea afterward. The couples room books up before the rest of the studio — calling ahead is the difference between a yes and a maybe.

For: anniversaries, post-flight, the rare night you both have free.

New clients get $10 off the first session — no code needed, just mention it at the front desk. Add 30 minutes to any service for $25. Cash, card, and Apple Pay all accepted. Tipping is appreciated but never appears on the bill.

How it works

Four steps.
Mostly the same as
your last good massage.

  1. I

    Tell us what's tired.

Two minutes in the front room. We ask what you do for work, where you carry stress, whether you've been on your feet all day. No forms with twelve checkboxes — just a conversation.

  2. II

    We choose the pressure together.

Light, medium, deep — and the right answer changes by week. We'll check in once at the ten-minute mark and then leave you alone unless you say otherwise.

  3. III

    An hour of quiet work.

Warm room, weighted blanket on the table, hot towel for the feet. Hot stones, if you'd like them. The clock isn't on the wall on purpose. We'll tell you when there are five minutes left.

  4. IV

Walk out lighter than you came in.

A glass of water, a stretch we want you to try at home, and the door. No package pitch. Most people rebook by text the same week — that's the whole sales process.

Arriving at the spacious, bright lobby with its warm decor, I entered the comfortable room with its crisp white sheets and neatly arranged towels. Sia then gave me the most relaxing massage. I've truly fallen in love with this place. I'll definitely be back.

I'd been a frequent customer for several months. In my experience the staff is polite and professional. The prices are fair compared to an orthopedic clinic, and my back and neck aches are resolved.

After working, I find this shop. The masseuse is professional, the price is good — only $50 an hour. It's good for couples too. After the massage I feel very, very relaxed.

About

A small,
Asian-owned studio
on El Cajon Boulevard.

Happy Spa is the kind of place we wished existed when we were the ones working twelve-hour shifts. A spacious, bright lobby with warm decor. Comfortable rooms with crisp white sheets and neatly arranged towels. Hot tea in the kettle, every day.

Our practitioners — Sia and the team — are trained in full body, foot, shiatsu, and couples massage. We don’t sell memberships. We don’t push add-ons. We don’t have a points program. The price you see at the door is the price you pay, and a real hour means sixty minutes on the table.

What we are trying to do is straightforward: give people an honest hour. The kind your shoulders remember three days later.

Things people ask

The honest answers,
before you have to ask.

  • Both are fine. Walk-ins are honestly welcome — there’s almost always an opening within thirty minutes if you arrive before 10 PM. If you want a specific time or therapist (Sia gets requested by name), please call ahead at (619) 724-6464.

  • Full body, sixty minutes — $50. Foot massage, sixty minutes — $50. Shiatsu, sixty minutes — $60. Couples room — $95 per person. New clients get $10 off the first session. No membership fees, no booking fees, no surprise upcharges. Tipping is appreciated but never required and never appears on the bill.

  • If you’re not sure, start with medium and tell us within the first ten minutes if you want more or less. We’d rather adjust five times than leave you sore tomorrow. Deep work means slow-loaded forearms and elbows on specific knots — not just “harder pressure everywhere.”

  • Yes — every day, including Sunday. The last appointment goes on the table around 10 PM and the doors lock at 11 PM. If you’re coming late after a shift, please call so we can keep someone on for you.

  • Two practitioners, one quiet room, side-by-side tables. Same hour, same warm towels, same cup of tea after. The couples room books up before the rest of the studio — calling ahead is the difference between a yes and a maybe.

  • Free parking lot directly in front of the studio at 6956 El Cajon Blvd, between 69th and 70th Street. Street parking on College Avenue if the lot is full. We’re a one-minute drive from SDSU and on the 1 and 815 bus lines.

  • Yes — please mention it when you call so we can put you with a practitioner who works with prenatal clients. Side-lying with bolsters from the second trimester onward, gentle pressure, no deep abdominal work.

  • Same-day cancellations are fine. We don’t charge for them. If you no-show three times in a row we’ll ask for a card on file for the next booking — that’s the only enforcement we have.
